This project originated from my personal experience with dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation). Initially, I went through physical discomfort, which led to a sense of aversion towards my own uterus and menstruation. I began to question the usefulness of my uterus when not needed for reproduction, and menstruation became an ongoing issue that troubled me. While these feelings were personal and subjective, they left me feeling frustrated and uneasy.
My inspiration for this topic came from seeing some online discussions, where some people who have passed away in this world still remain in this world through technological means, such as being designed as prototype characters in games, or being captured by Google Maps' image collection cars, and their photos stay on Google Maps for a long time.
With the rapid development of the times, I have come to realize that the stable ways of life we once knew are gradually fading, replaced by an environment marked by uncertainty and fluidity. In such a setting, people are constantly forced to adjust themselves in response to shifts in social structures and lifestyles. This transformation sparked my deep interest in the concept of the "liquid society." Eventually, I created a picture book to illustrate how our society has evolved into a liquid state.
