The project is inspired by my observation that many children bite their nails, and after researching, I found the major reason is the family atmosphere: parents neglect their children's feelings, or the children feel too anxious and uneasy. The main character of the picture book is a little girl who bites her nails on many occasions. Her mom and dad found out that she had developed the habit because of the lack of parental companionship. In the end, the mom and dad accompanied the child to get rid of the habit. But I added a surprise plot to the ending—the little girl bites her nails because she wants to make a little hedgehog craft, as I think the ending will make the picture book more interesting. I hope parents can reflect on whether they have accompanied their children enough and give their children a loving environment where they grow up while they read the picture book with their children.
