Through the Wings of Fear is a poignant tale of a timid girl who, after transforming into a hedgehog out of fear, learns that true courage lies in embracing trust and friendship.
The project captures the fluidity of adolescents' emotions and identities, showing their journeys in constructing their personal identities and narrating their transformations. Combining modular design, emotive characters, interactive formats and coming-of-age stories, the project explores the richness of young people's inner emotional world.
Whenever I think about the death that will eventually come in the future, the fear of the unknown always comes like a tidal wave. In order to express this anxiety and uneasiness of death, I decided to visualise death as a monster to carry my different feelings towards death. In this way, I find the courage to reconcile with death.
In life, I am often told that I am lazy and sluggish, like a little bug. Therefore, I decided to use this as inspiration to create "Lazy Bug's Habitat," a small installation. The work presents an eerie and grotesque style, capturing my unique personality and aesthetic. This little bug nest, while seemingly unusual, authentically reflects my recognition and acceptance of myself. Through this piece, I aim to convey the importance of staying true to oneself, allowing the audience to feel my distinctive style.
