The project is located at the junction of the old city center and the new city center in Chengdu. Due to the cultural complexity of the site, there is a large height difference between the buildings on the east and west sides of the site.
In the alternating environment of the old and the new, the design of the community interactive theater project focuses on how to balance the east and west sides of the site, and how to bring more interactive possibilities to the surrounding neighborhood through the design of the roof, plan and structure.
In Chongqing, China, due to the terrain, people used to use the back baskets to carry goods; many people also rely on the back baskets to live. There are lots of people who take the backbaskets and hike each morning from the mountains to the nearest town to sell fresh vegetables they grow on those hills. However, with the progress of The Times, these traditional forms of sales are being squeezed by express delivery, resulting in the only way for these elderly people to maintain their lives has become very difficult. They have no fixed place to sell and waste a lot of time and energy looking for a place to set up a stall every day.
The aim of the project is to create a centralized market for back basket farmers near Zhong County, Chongqing, and to draw new attention to the farmers in light of contemporary interests. For back basket farmers, the market is not only a place to sell, but also a place to rest and exchange. At the same time, the project focuses on the topography and architectural characteristics of Chongqing, and adopts traditional Chinese wooden buildings to provide a shelter for the farmers.
Death is not the end, forgetting is. With the development of people's cognition and science and technology, the design of hospice care pays more attention to the support of patients themselves and the intimacy and communication between patients and families. The core concept of this design starts from the last moment between patients and relatives; we combine the patient's ward with green plants. One of the purposes is to use the plant healing method to help patients with anxiety during treatment. In addition, we divided the treatment stages of patients into three stages: early, middle, and late, which were divided into three levels and interspersed with public spaces. The plants that the patients planted will come to mourn on the roof garden where their loved ones can come to mourn them at any time. Death is not terrible, forgetting is more cruel, the hospice bears not the pain, but the most beautiful memories and thoughts in the world.
Due to the problems left over by history, the Bajau people have changed from free sea nomads to stateless and human rightless vagrants. Because of the squeeze of modern fishing industry, the Bajau's fishing tradition has suffered a blow, and their sea living modes have gradually fallen behind. Faced with the lack of education and cultural differences, they are unable to adapt to life on land. Although the government strongly supports the Bajau to live on shore, they cannot integrate into modern society for various reasons.
The aim of this project is to create a transitional coastal living community for the Bajau people, to help them settle down as a people on land, and to provide them with more ways to make a living. At the same time, provide them with health care and education, improve their living environment, and build the foundation for the integration of the next generation.
