In the lush landscapes of Kyoto, Japan, this project initiates a dialogue about sustainability and tradition through a series of low-cost, environmentally friendly traveler’s rest stops along the hiking trails of Kifune Shrine and Kurama Temple. These rest stops invite hikers to pause and engage with nature, while carefully adhering to sustainable practices and traditional craftsmanship.
Dialogue between innovation and sustainability shapes this project, which seeks to apply the efficient and adaptable structures of the International Space Station (ISS) to the design of a rail transit station. By integrating the modular design principles of the ISS, this initiative offers valuable insights into sustainable architecture.
A Dialogue on Mental Healing in Urban Spaces unfolds in the heart of Shanghai's Wujiaochang area, where my design for the Circular Aerial Exhibition Hall addresses urban expansion and the rise of influencer culture. As people prioritize their on-camera appearances over their surroundings, this exhibition hall redirects attention to the intrinsic value of space.
