My inspiration stems from a distinctive social phenomenon of people increasingly seeking divineintervention and making wishes for good fortune, in our fast-paced urban life, i've observed how peopletend to seek spiritual solace or shortcuts to alleviate their anxiety, revealing a prevalent 'shortcutseeking' mentality in modern society.
My work comprises contemporary iewellery pieces that function as satirical divination tools for revealingexam answers. These pieces reflect the desperate measures people take when faced with modern-daypressures and anxieties.
Through this project, l aim to express the dilemmas people face in our rapidly developing society.particularly how time pressure drives them to seek shortcuts and how traditional beliefs collide withmodern life. The project serves as an artistic commentary on contemporary psychological states.inviting viewers to reflect upon their own approaches to life's challenges.
Mly inspiration came from contemplating the massive use of medical supplies during the pandemic.Through research, l discovered that these medical wastes, along with industrial waste andplastic products, are being dumped into the ocean in large quantities, severely damaging marineecosystems. Therefore, focusing on pharmaceutical pollution, l designed body jewellery that incorporates themutated forms of polluted marine creatures and the boiling appearance of contaminated seawaterdemonstrating how ocean pollution is inextricably linked to human life.Through this project, l aim to reveal how human-caused ocean pollution will ultimately come back toharm us, calling for people to reconsider their coexistence with nature and raise awareness aboutenvironmental protection.
My artistic inspiration stems from my profound reflectionson mortality and the gradually fading recollections of mygrandmother.l posit that it is not death itself, but rather thestate of being forgotten that truly marks one's final end.
l have, produced a series of works that amalgamate cyanotype and copper plate etching techniques. Thesepieces incorporate fragmented design elements and draw inspiration from funerary objects and accoutrements.serving as a wellspring of creative influence.
Through jewellery design, l aim to eternally preserve cherished memories of my grandmother and express mylonging for her. My work illustrates how memories fragmentover time. This creative process has fostered a more positiveapproach to death and separation, whilst enabling me toarticulate remembrance and nostalgia for departed loved.ones.
My inspiration derives from my childhood security blanket-a constant bedside companion whosetouch provides comfort and peaceful sleep. Upon discovering that such 'security blankets' are ashared human experience, l began exploring how jewellery might offer similar emotional reassurance throughout daily life. This led me to reimagine traditional jewellery placement, focusing on three areas of instinctive touch:trouser pockets, wrists, and neck, Each piece is designed to serve as a portable comfort object.offering moments of solace and strength in any setting.
