What exacty is true perfection, and is it possible for a person to break away from imitation to lead to so-called perfection? This is thequestion l want to discuss in this project. T'he 'idea ofa table is higher than the 'entity ofa table, which both contains allconerete tablesandis free from the defects ofthose concrete tables. t is dificult to achieve the true perfection ofthe concept itself, no matter how muchone imitates it. I have attempted to discuss this issue by producing a 'perfect sitting position.
It is a tradition in Chinese dining culture to arrange seating positions according to status levels and to symbolise power by seating positions. The seating arrangement in modern dining parties also reflects this concept. During the transition from student status to social status, I gradually came into contact with this particular law hidden behind seating. Position becomes an implicit symbol of power in a particular field, which can symbolise primary and secondary, and can symbolise respect and inferiority. In this project, I try to observe the behavioural patterns of people by transforming the basic structure of chairs, and observe the reverse shaping of chairs on people through different arrangements and combinations.
Can human subjcctive fircedom be manifested in games? Today, the form of games has undergone some obvious paradigm shifits, andmore and more game factors are being applied to various ficlds oflife. n this project, hope to explore the hidden characteristics behindthe games by transforming two games from my childhood, swings and spinning tops, and record their movement traijectories, as well asdiscuss the ultmate purpose ofthese hidden game factors.
Uncertainty in today's life is like a game of glass marbles.where relationships, identities, and spaces are fraught withchance and randomness throughout. Time also transformsfrom linear to ephemeral slices in the flow ofrelationships. We gradually adapt to the fragmentation and the ephemeralrandomness, and uncertainty becomes less of an issue.Through this project, which is also a game, I try to make theambiguity and uncertainty that characterise postmodern lifeconcrete and visible.
