The modeling community is not actually glamorous, and there are issues such as unequal treatment, unfaircontracts, and health threats in the modeling industry. My video is based on the real event of model Soaresfainting and dying at the 2019 Sao Paulo Fashion Weekin Brazil, reflecting the real difficulties of the currentmodel community and depicting the real situation ofthe models on stage and behind the scenes.
lwill use music editing and animation creationto express the contradictions and conflicts in thisevent, linterviewed and researched the real eventsexperienced by the models, and presented these eventsin a narrative way during the runway show.
I really enjoy observing and recording people sleeping at subwaystations, on the roadside, and in parks. Why do people engage in privatebehavior in public spaces? This triggered my thinking.
After conducting research, l found that this is actually a manifestationof inclusiveness in public spaces and an indispensable service forcommunities. However, at the same time, the right to enjoy such publicspaces also faces challenges, with the biggest challenge coming fromthe privatization'of public spaces by capital.
This project discusses the justice of public spaces through visual wayand calls on the public to regain their freedom to enjoy public spacesThe public can participate in my activities and recognize the balancebetween private capital and public life through games, and expressprotest by sleeping in public spaces.
The inspiration for this project comes from my discovery that peopleblindly worship a certain mode of thinking at certain times and use it as thestandard for elites. This kind of worship can lead to people with differentthinking gradually converging.
People's different thinking leads to different behavioral patterns, whichmakes our world interesting. Therefore, this series of zine is based on myobservations of people with different thinking patterns around me, and lhave invented several new thinking models to encourage people to respectand appreciate the diversity of thinking.
When listening to speeches or debates, we not onlypay attention to the content of the speaker, but theirvoice itself can also affect our cognitive judgment. The hesitation of the spokesperson may arousesuspicion, while an impassioned voice may inciteemotions and convince people. So l started to think, without language, does sound itself have the ability toinfluence people's judgment?extract sound tracks and tokenize them to representthe characteristics of sound through symbols. In orderto allow the audience to experience the emotionalimpact of sound, l used audio, interactive devices andillustrationas in the exhibition.
