Nearby" is a site for daily life and emotional interactions, yet often neglected. So I walked to reobserves my nearby streers,enhancing my sence of urban life`s nuances.
This project comprises a video, books design, and a map. The video observes and records the “streets nearby." The book analyzes the ambiguity and complexity of boundaries in “nearby" spaces and how they affect people's perceptions. It also visualizes street fraces and human action trajectories, narrating the interactive intersections between people and streets, and among people, which dilute the sense of strangeness and enable emotional connections. Lastly, a personal psychological cognitive map of "nearby is drawn. This project reveals neglect of "nearby" and, through diverse documentation, rekindles aware-ness of surroundings, deepening understanding of urban-life's subtleties.
After l graduated, l went to work in another city for two years.
