This animation project is about Growing with shame, a situation that troubles a lot of people I know.  Growing up, I experienced a lot of shame.  I've found that many girls experience some form of body shame during adolescence, an experience that is common but rarely discussed openly.

We are creatures that belong to earth. Supported by earth we stand and walk, fed on its product we breathe and operate. There is an invisible umbilical cord between human beings and the land, and the gravitational pull toward the land is etched in human genes.Because of this, human beings have a strong love for the land, but also because of the attachment and love of the land closely linked to the land. Whether we like the idea or not, our roots deeply lie hidden in the earth, and profoundly shape our identity.

This is a story about how the death of Huaying Li, a wife and a mother, deeply effect every aspect of the household. It is based on the traditional chinese belief that souls would stay in the world for 7 more days after their death in order to wave goodbye to their friends and family in their own way.

A crew of airship pirates accidentally enters a dangerous stormy region. After surviving a fierce storm, they discover their captain missing, leaving behind a compass and a map with a mysterious poem. The storm spirits, cursed and trapped, have kidnapped the captain, forcing the pirates to embark on a quest to complete the poem and break the curse to save their leader.

How does it feel like to be the victim of love? Some may take this as a romantic expression, however, stucking in a relationship could be damaging any time. Being caught by the prison of love, individuals can become bonded and lost their freedom, just like fishes in tanks----having nowhere else to turn and being transformed to be fragile and controllable. The transformation is not only pushed by surreal external expectation, but also internal inclination to be trapped.
